These are different purchases. Check the included-parts list for the exact product before adding separate components to an order.
Our cable is 1/8-inch diameter, 1x19 construction and 316 stainless steel. Stainless and black oxide finishes use the same nominal diameter.
Cable is not a complete end fitting. Choose the strand length separately and confirm the specification required by the installed hardware.

The separate replacement listing includes one threaded ratchet stud and one jaw. It is not the complete exterior fitting body.
This assembly is already included with our standard cable fittings. Confirm what is missing or being replaced before ordering an extra.

For example, our Stainless Level Fitting includes the fitting, threaded ratchet stud, jaw and Delrin plastic washer.
That example is for a level run with metal posts. Wood and stair connections require their own product and attachment details.

A wood connection and a metal connection are not interchangeable because their finishes look alike. Record the post material and the attachment used at each end.
For stairs or ramps, include a side view showing the cable angle. For level sections, identify both terminations and any change of direction.

The planner counts the components you select. It does not determine which parts must be replaced, select cable lengths or generate a complete purchase order.

If the two ends use different hardware, make separate lists for each type. Do not add spare internal assemblies automatically when buying complete fittings.
A single cable may be a replacement candidate when the existing system supports service and the retained components are suitable. Our swageless fittings are designed to be serviceable, but that does not establish the condition of your installed parts. Identify the model and confirm the replacement procedure before disassembly.
Do not assume that it will. Diameter alone does not identify cable construction, material or the requirements of a fitting. Our listed railing cable is 1/8-inch, 1x19, 316 stainless steel. Check the installed manufacturer's specification, particularly when the original system is not ours.
Our standard cable fittings already include that assembly. The separate Stud and Jaw product is intended for replacements and other specified configurations. Read the included-parts list for the exact fitting so you do not order the same component twice.

No. Looseness alone does not identify its cause or the part that needs attention. The cable, fittings, posts and connections need to be considered together. Use the original installation and care guidance, and obtain an assessment when the cause or condition is uncertain.
No. It counts the selected strands or end components only. Measure each replacement using the exact fitting's instructions, then choose a suitable offered cable length. Labor, other parts and the condition of the retained railing are outside the count.
Keep the original fitting details with your replacement list. Product contents and attachment options belong to the selected model, not just the appearance of the railing.
