How do I calculate a stair railing angle?

Measure the total vertical rise and total horizontal run between consistent reference points. The angle equals the arctangent of rise divided by run. The calculator above performs that calculation in degrees.

How do I calculate the diagonal cable length on stairs?

The geometric diagonal is the square root of the horizontal run squared plus the vertical rise squared. Field-verify the installed posts and follow the product instructions before selecting a pre-cut cable length or cutting cable.

How many stair run kits do I need?

Each stair run kit includes one cable strand and two stair fitting assemblies, so plan one kit per cable row per stair railing side. For example, an 11-row railing on both sides of a stair uses 22 kits.
